Hey to all of you who helped put on the 2004 SAMSGUT show -

THANKS! We did a great job, and people are recognizing that fact.

Although it seems I get most of the credit, I really don't deserve it - so many Noogans worked so very hard to create the memorable experience that was the 11th Annual. there's no way I can recall all the folks, but 8 deserve a decidedly special pat on the back for volunteering significantly more time and support than their schedules should've allowed -

these are the unsung heroes of the ultimate tournament:

Tina Vance - she's like the pillar of Chattanooga ultimate, always offering unyielding, unconditional support and assistance - tireless and patient beyond measure - when things get out of whack, Tina is always able to bring them into perspective. This tournament could not have happened without her!

Jet - that kid worked his butt off this weekend, and his hair too, I think... he ran the tent all day Saturday and Sunday, kept us on schedule, answered questions, offered solace to those who needed it, forded complaints with a smile, and worked his butt off even more. This tournament could not have happened without him!

Kenny Ray Johnson - not only did he nearly burn away his head of curly black hair lining fields at 9:30 pm, well after the sun had set, but he patiently stood by while my brain attempted to weed through its nonsense thusly allowing us to lay out the fields - it was not an easy process. Kenny Ray: you paint a wavy line, but we couldn't have done it without you!

Dabney Pennybacker - she thought at first that creating the tournament program would be a piece of cake - let me tell you - it ain't!! But she put together a kickass program and raised nearly $500.00 for the CFDC, and the kids loved her silly game! More photos of Chris A. next time, please! This tournament could not have happened without her!

Carl Kiefer - he asked me late on Sunday, "Steebie, what time you getting out of here?" "Once everything is cleaned up and put away," I replied. "Well that makes two of us, then," he said. There would be no Nooga without him.

Monte Blanc - he stayed late both Saturday and Sunday to make sure our area was clear of debris, and he just makes me laugh. This tournament would not have happened without him!

Wayne Thompson - although he has yet to play ultimate with us, Wayne gives us our fields, our beautiful fields. He made sure the grass was manicured, he donated the paint to line our fields, and he approved of the Fayetteville team's pre-party party bid! Please thank Wayne every chance you get! Most definitely: this tournament would not have happened without him!

Mike Alley - last but certainly not least - he gave us pirates, cute little pirates wearing nothing but eye patches and mischievous grins.  And, after a brief wait, he also gave us beer!  Great party mike! great party!! This tournament might've happened without him, but it would've been nowhere near as amusing!

Thanks to everyone who helped!! Your efforts do not go unnoticed!
