March 2005 the CFDC opened Chattanooga's first Disc Golf course an 18 hole competition quality wooded course with AM and Pro teepads..
April 2005 the CFDC hosted its first Chattanooga Youth Clinic teaching children and families "How to Play Disc Golf". This clinic spawned Chattanooga 1st Worlds Champion - 16 year old Nick Phillips in 2007 won the "Amateur Worlds Championship 19 and under" division in Milwaukee, WI He later became Chattanooga youngest Professional Disc Golfer at 17yrs old.
2006 & 2007 the CFDC hosted several youth clinics, and hosted the largest competitive Disc Golf events in Tennessee providing the largest Pro Payout in the state.
2008 the CFDC Designed and installed 4 9 holes Disc Golf course for the families of our community. 2 at inner-city recreation centers (Carver & Shepherd) providing opportunities for children who would not be able to enjoy our great sport. We also opened North Georgia's first course at Jack Mattox Sports complex in Catoosa county and provided support to Southern Adventist University installing the first 9 holes of Collegedale's first course.
2009 the CFDC organized a project, funding, design and installation of a 9 hole Junior Disc Golf Course at Children's Home/Chambliss Shelter. Also in Oct 2009 the CFDC opened Dalton's first Disc Golf course an 18 hole competition quality course at Heritage Point Park.
2009 also Welcomed the CFDC's 1st "Womens Amatuer World's Champion"- 10 yrs old Gabrella Gray of Chickamauga, GA won the 13 and under Div by a huge margin. And while at the tournament in Kansas City , MO set the World's distance record for a 10yr old throwing an amzing 276 feet...
